Disability groups are to link up to pool their expertise.
The Derby Disability Network will be launched in the Spot Banqueting Suite, in Sacheverel Street at 2pm on Wednesday.
Members will include Disability Direct, Derbyshire Autism Services, Derby Access Group and the Campaign for Tackling Acquired Deafness, with new ones welcome.
Amarjit Raju, chief executive of Disability Direct said: "This network is a great opportunity for smaller disability groups to become part of a bigger united voice which can be consulted on any going concern."
Judi Bateman, chairman of the Derby Disability Network said more could be achieved together.
"The network hopes to unite organisations so that we can work together on issues and bring about positive changes," she said.
