Buses for disabled festival fans

15 Apr 2008

Help is being provided to people with disabilities to allow them to enjoy a major music festival in Cambridgeshire. Cambridgeshire County Council is providing two wheelchair accessible minibuses to transport disabled people to Cambridge Folk Festival.

The Social Service buses will transfer people with limited mobility from a reserved car park and nearby campsite to the festival at Cherry Hinton Hall. The two minibuses are environmentally friendly - running on bio-diesel.

County Council transport co-ordinator Ian Britton, said: "We are happy to work with Cambridge City Council who organise the festival as we want to ensure that people with disabilities can travel to the event in comfort and safety and our vehicles and drivers are ideal for the task."
