Colourblind Dad Can’t Cope After Seeing Colour For The First Time
Opie Hughes had spent the majority of his life living with protanopia, a condition that affects his ability to properly see red and green colours, and had no idea that there was a way to fix it.
That was until he heard about a special pair of glasses that could correct his vision and possibly allow him to see his kids properly for the first time.
The EnChroma glasses RRP at $350, meaning Hughes could not afford a pair, and had no idea that a GoFundMe page had been set up by his sister, and when he received the glasses for his birthday, it changed his life.
He claimed that wearing them for the first time was 'super overwhelming' and he was finally able to properly see the eye colour of his kids, flowers and clothing colours for the very first time
