A disabled man's home and car have both been damaged in an overnight attack in Larne, County Antrim.

Bricks were thrown through a window of Ryan Conway's home in Knockdhu Park at about 23:00 GMT on Thursday. His car was also set on fire.

The 27-year-old, who has spina bifida, said the car was his "lifeline".

Mr Conway lives with his two sisters, his mother and her partner, who is Portugese. Police said a hate crime is one line of inquiry.

The bricks smashed through the front window of the house, but no-one was injured.

The attacks also broke the car window before setting fire to the back seat of the vehicle.
