Looking at me, you would think I'm a normal nineteen-year-old girl. Which in some ways I am; I go clubbing, I love shopping, I have no shame in being a One Direction fan, I have a boyfriend and I'm studying for a degree. However, all of my life I have suffered from dyspraxia; a condition that provides me with daily obstacles, but it won't stop me from going far.
London's Tube system is not currently anything like fully accessible to wheelchair users or people with mobility problems. Transport for London (TfL) offers many excuses for the lack of accessibility provision on the Tube. But as the Crossrail project has shown, engineering solutions to a wide range of problems can be found and implemented in the most difficult of situations.

The last time I went to see a GP I had to explain what a learning disability was. I don't think that I should have to do that - all doctors should have an understanding about it. It can be scary enough going to hospital without worrying about whether my doctors even understand about my learning disability. I have been working as a volunteer for Mencap for 20 years, and I am shocked and saddened that so many people with a learning disability die avoidably every year.
