Dyslexia link to eye spots confusing brain, say scientists

French scientists say they may have found a potential cause of dyslexia which could be treatable, hidden in tiny cells in the human eye. In a small study they found that most dyslexics had dominant round spots in both eyes - rather than in just one - leading to blurring and confusion.

AWARENESS of mental health problems has increased dramatically in recent years, partly due to high profile celebrities speaking out about their experiences, but also as a result of national and local campaigns to reduce the stigma. Recently however, there have been discussions around whether these campaigns are actually doing more harm than good.

Taxi refusals, humiliate disabled people.

Some taxi services in Wales are refusing to pick up passengers who use wheelchairs or assistance dogs, a campaign group has claimed. Disability Wales said people are being ignored and refused cab journeys leaving them "stranded and humiliated".
