MPs urge cut in dementia drug use

MPs have urged the government to stop the "dangerous over-prescribing" of anti-psychotic drugs to people in care homes with dementia. The All Party Parliamentary Group on Dementia said the drugs should only be used as a last resort.

Woman wins Tesco tyre pump case

A disabled woman has won £1,000 from Tesco after a court said it had discriminated against her by not allowing staff to pump up her tyres. Grandmother Jenni Crowly, from Connah's Quay, Flintshire, said the win was not only a victory for her, but also for disabled people.

£60,000 benefit fraudster guilty

A 61-year-old man has been convicted of wrongfully claiming £60,000 in disability benefits. Leslie Webb claimed it took him 10 minutes to walk 50 yards but at the same time he carried coffins and drove a taxi for a living as well as playing bowls in his spare time.
